At first I pronounced it the Spanish way, but after I read it out loud to my roommate and looked the number up in my thread, I realized that it is indeed, neegro. Negro flesh. What. The. Fuck.
Made this for my friend Cheyenne for a very belated graduation gift. She started college a year early and graduated in 3. And loves velociraptors.
And for those who hate when finished projects aren’t ironed, I don’t have one or even a vacuum in my apartment so give me a fucking break.

Cross stitcher problems:
Running out of thread when you’re just a couple of stitches from the end.
But my project is done, FINALLY! I finished about half of it and then LOST it so had to start over and work furiously to get back to where I left off, then finish it in the time I alotted myself. Thank god for winter break.

Cross stitch iphone case #2! After my other phone was stolen I had to remake my case, probably the saddest part of it all. But I have to say, I LOVE this one and it was my first project since January now that the semester from hell is over!
Got a new iPhone for Christmas! More importantly, though, I got the cross-stitch iPhone case!
Only problem is that I have NO idea what to put on it and it will take me forever to decide. It’s a light blue color so I don’t feel like any of my nerdy ideas (Doctor Who, HP) would work well with it. I want something cutesy, like hearts or birds or some cute pattern idk.
It’s 22X43, any ideas?

SO proud of this bookmark I made for my friend Lauren (nicknamed Laurange for her red hair). I designed it myself based on her (and mine, but mostly hers, and it was the reason we became friends in the first place) love for all things Andrew McMahon. It’s half Something Corporate and half Jack’s Mannequin, with the quote “the river is everywhere,” the one tattooed on Andrew and my roommate, on both sides. There’s the SoCo logo from their first album, the JM logo, “21 and invincible” for her 21st birthday (when she will be receiving it), 11:11 for our favourite song, and “This is a story…” from the cover of Everything in Transit.
Again, my creativity on this is just mindboggling.
OK so I just found some websites showing how to make a freaking CLOCK out of a cross stitch pattern and I got giddy. THEN I remembered seeing a kind of clock prototype where each Doctor has a number and the 12 is the tardis. If I could somehow combine these two ideas, make a cross stitch pattern for a Doctor Who Clock, I would officially have to stop all crafting because nothing could top it. The only problem is, I suck at making patterns, and I don’t have the computer program to do so…
One can dream.
This one followed quickly after my first DW cross-stitch, inspired also by a design on Etsy, for my friends birthday because we both freaked out at this episode!
